Some Very Important Photographs

I have some very important photographs to share today. They're significant not necessarily because of their content, but due to the combination of their content and the time at which I took them. To clarify - I took these photos while on the way to the grocery store yesterday evening and, despite the fact that it was already eight in the evening, it was still light out!

After having spent the darkest part of winter barely ever seeing the sun, beginning and ending my day of classes in almost complete darkness even on the days when we finished at half past five, it was a very welcome sight to see the sky so bright at eight p.m.

The sun was just beginning to set, the colored sky a beautiful sight to see overtop of the river.

To make the evening even more beautiful, the moon had already risen. I love seeing the moon against the background of a pale blue sky. (The moon is the white dot just a little bit above the tallest building in the photo below).

I was happy that it was light out, and I was glad to get to go to the grocery store with some friends. It was definitely a good evening.
