Where Has This Semester Gone?

I would really like somebody to tell me where there this entire semester has gone! I feel like I looked away for a moment and it suddenly became May, and now I only have a month left before I head back to the United States. I've been busy with one thing after another - rehearsals, exams, our concert, and finishing high school through an online program - and that made the weeks and months fly by at an almost alarming pace.

In the past week, we went from weather that wouldn't have been out of place in late February or in March (gray, rainy, and cold enough for my winter coat) to beautiful, sunny days that feel like summer. Yesterday afternoon, I walked to go buy lunch while wearing just shorts and a t-shirt; after months of not being able to go out without a coat and scarf, it felt wonderful.

It shocked me to finally realize how much time has passed, and how little time I have left before the end of this academic year. It was a combination of the arrival of this beautiful weather and the date of my high school graduation ceremony (which, unfortunately, I'm going to be unable to attend) that brought me to this realization. I'm going to do my best to make the most of my last month here in all ways possible - in terms of dancing, learning Russian, and trying to see as much of Saint Petersburg as I can - and I promise to do some blogging while I'm at it!
