Almost Done

I've almost made it through the entire first semester! On Thursday, just three days from now, I'll be heading home for a bit of rest and relaxation, normal food, and time with my family, friends, and cats. Yesterday we had our eighth and final Nutcracker performance of the season. Now that Nutcracker is finished and I don't have any more performances to look forwards to, I feel ready and excited to go home.

Yesterday evening I returned to the theater with Roosa (Finland), Juli (Hungary), and Larry (Australia) to watch the Mariinsky Ballet perform Don Quixote. The lead couple was danced by Viktoria Tereshkina and Vladimir Shklyarov, and the two were absolutely fantastic. Watching the show was a really nice way to celebrate the end of the semester.

I've started packing up my things in preparation for my departure. I'm leaving most of my things here; only things that I will need while I'm at home, things I haven't been using, gifts, and souvenirs are coming with me. Still, I've already almost completely filled up my biggest suitcase and my backpack (and have more things that I haven't packed yet)!

Thursday is going to be here before I know it, but then Thursday is never, ever, ever going to end... I'll have to repeat an entire eleven hours of Thursday because of the time difference, the end result of which will be a thirty-five hour Thursday. It is actually going to be the longest day of my life!
