Something That Makes Me Glad

Every Thursday evening, the academy cafeteria serves us запеканка (pronounced zapikanka) in addition to all of our usual dinner components. It is a sort of cake made from cottage cheese curds, eggs, sugar, flour, and sour cream that is put in a pan, baked until the top is brown, and then served warm, topped with sweetened condensed milk.

It is excellent, no matter how you eat it. It's good with and without the sweetened condensed milk. It's tasty when it is warm, but it's even delicious when eaten cold after a night in the fridge (tastes more like cheesecake)!
