Tonight I got to meet in person with a girl from St. Petersburg that a friend of a friend put me in contact with. Though I have just met her, and had never communicated with her in any fashion until yesterday evening, I am confident that I have found a new friend. Her name is Nastya, she is the same age as I am, and she speaks much better English than she gives herself credit for.
We walked around St. Petersburg and watched the city start to fall asleep as we talked and tried to get to know one another a bit.
I am growing very fond of this city, and Nastya helped me to feel even more welcome here than before.
I promise that the sun setting over the river is even more beautiful in person than in this picture!
This was a relaxing way to end a long, busy, exhausting week. Thank you, Nastya!
