Harry Potter and Cats (My Favorite Things)

I am going to begin with a Harry Potter status update. So far, I have read a grand total of four pages. Only six-hundred and sixty-one more to go! By read I really mean sounded out, because that is what I've actually been doing. Hopefully I will pick up the pace a bit once we begin our Russian classes, otherwise there is no way that I'm going to finish by June (which I am determined to do).

Now, my other favorite thing, cats!

There must be a feral cat group living somewhere inside the maze of courtyards amongst the buildings on Rossi Street, because I often see cats sunning themselves as I am walking between my dorms and the school building.

Today, as I was walking back to my room after lunch (since we had a break before our next class), I saw this black-and-white cat lounging on the asphalt.

It made me miss my cats at home in Denver, Bailey...

...and Annabelle.

I'm missing out on my daily dose of cat since, much as I'd like to, I never pet the cats that I find in the courtyard. They are soft and fuzzy, and look as if they could use some love and attention, but I can't forget that they're still feral and thus might not take kindly to my approaches.
